BRIEF NOTE
Step-by-step description of the percutaneous ventriculoatrial shunt technique, emphasizing positioning and the use of ultrasound to puncture the internal jugular vein, highlighting the use of the detachable vascular introducer as a tool to avoid displacement of the distal catheter. Use of the image intensifier to confirm the topography of the distal catheter tip.
