Abstract

Aneurysms result from hemodynamic stress which causes excessive wear and tear of the inner lamina of the blood vessel. Classified as saccular or fusiform, in some cases they present as challenging lesions to treat with direct clipping and treatment usually requires surgical techniques not so commonly used. This study aims to report a case of aneurysm treatment with the wrapping technique and to evaluate this treatment modality and its clinical outcome and its effectiveness comparing the data found in the literature through a systematic review.
